St. Vincent is a land of pristine natural beauty where days drift into long, balmy evenings. It is a lush, volcanic island of steep mountain ridges, valleys and waterfalls. The rugged eastern coast is lined with cliffs and rocky shores while the western coastline dips sharply down into black and gold sand beaches. The crystalline waters reflect a spectrum of colours from sapphire blue to emerald green, and are superb for snorkelling and SCUBA diving. The rich volcanic soil produces an abundance of fruits, vegetables and spaces, such as coconuts, bananas, breadfruit, nutmeg and arrowroot.
Indian Bay & Villa Point
English is the official language, cricket a favourite sport, with afternoon tea. All beaches are public with both light and dark-coloured sand. Crystal turquoise water, white sand, tropical flowers and nodding palm trees. There are various places to go at night. Around Christmas and Carnival, there is plenty of music and dancing everywhere. Taking place in the beginning of July, St. Vincent Carnival is totally spectacular, with costumes, shows, calypsos, parades, music and parties everywhere. A must!
