GATLINBURG

 Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg is Tennessee's Premier Resort City. The unique mountain village is surrounded on three sides by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and represents the natural mountain beauty. The majestic backdrop provides a natural setting for the outdoor lover and sportsman. From trout fishing in the Little Pigeon River, to shopping in more than 400 specialty shops, Gatlinburg offers something for everyone.

Summer brings the Scottish Festival and Games, famous Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair and the first July 4th parade in the nation starting at one minute past midnight. Incredible yellows, red and oranges encompass the city during cool, crisp autumn days. But newest attraction comes with winter - Gatlinburg's Smoky Mountain Lights. Over two million lights dance in the mountain air. Gatlinburg also offers downhill and cross country skiing during the winter months.

NASHVILLE

 Music and musicians are everywhere in Tennessee's Heartland, and nowhere more plentiful than in Nashville, "Music City USA". In the heart of Nashville's recording district, "Music Row", you can tour the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The exciting Opryland USA complex on the edge of the city, is home to Opryland music-filled theme park. If you visit Nashville and miss the Opry, you may as well have stayed home.

 Tennessee State Capitol. Charlotte Ave., Tennessee's first permanent structure to serve as capitol continues today in that function. Architect William Strickland is burried within its walls. On the grounds is the tomb of James K. Polk, 11th President of the United States. The building, is one of 12 state capitols that does not have a dome.

MEMPHIS

 Memphis, the region's largest city, is a treasure trove of American lore. At Graceland mansion, thousands annually pay homage to Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'n' Roll, while visitor to The National Civil Rights Museum come to fully appreciate the sacrifices of those who bravely fought for racial equality. Memphis also means paddlewheel boats on the broad Mississippi, recalling the days of Twain, Dixon Gallery and Gardens, displaying artworks of the masters amid 17 acres of formal and informal gardens, the Memphis Zoo, with its new multi-million-dollar, one-of-a-kind Cat Country; and, of course, Beale Street, the birthplace of that quintessentially American sound, the Blues.
